- Stram oregelbunden bindväv som omger testis och bildar ett skyddande kapselskikt.
- Består av kollagena fibrer med spridda fibroblaster; elastiska fibrer ger viss töjbarhet.
- Septa (trabekler) från tunican löper in i parenkymet och avgränsar lobuli testis; centralt formas mediastinum testis.
- Under ytepitel (mesotel) och tunica vaginalis parietala blad.
- Kliniskt: inflammation → tunica albuginea svullnar (orchit). Fibros → minskad elasticitet och risk för ruptur vid trauma.
